I was using a chat line to speak to Sara Smith and she insisted that she can help me by using audio.  I told her I am deaf and could not use audio.  She disconnected the chat line.  I needed some help to install a HP ENVOY 4520 printer to my laptop.

@Fred6315, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

To help you set up your HP Envy printer, I'll need a bit more information to tailor the instructions to your needs. Here are some initial steps you can follow:

Unbox and Prepare the Printer:

  • Unbox your printer and remove all packaging material.
  • Connect the power cable to the printer and plug it into a power source.
  • Turn on the printer.

Install Ink Cartridges:

  • Open the ink cartridge access door.
  • Remove the new ink cartridges from their packaging.
  • Install them into their corresponding slots inside the printer.

Load Paper:

  • Pull out the paper tray.
  • Load plain, white paper into the tray and adjust the paper width guides.

Printer Software Installation:

  • Visit the HP Support website and search for your specific HP Envy model.
  • Download and install the latest drivers and software for your operating system.

Connect Printer:

  • Wired Connection: Use a USB cable to connect the printer to your computer.
  • Wireless Connection: Follow the on-screen instructions on the printer's control panel to connect to your Wi-Fi network.
