Hello Everyone,

 

I am trying to print using HP Smart App on my ios device. I have also used that app and same device on same network in past and it worked flawlessly. Lately, I have been getting the error of "Check The Printer. There is problem with your printer" on this app. There is also a red minus sign appeared with the printer icon. 

I am able to make prints using my computer but not from the phone. I have also tried unstalling/reinstalling and setting up as a new printer over wirless network. 

The blue light on printer is stable. 

Please let me know how can I solve this.  You may find the screenshot below

I installed HP print and scan doctor and scanned for the problem. It said that there is something wrong with the cartridge. I had a mini heart attack at the time beacuse I installed a new toner just few days back. I pulled out the toner and flipped it so I found a little small orange color plastic covering around a chip. The guy who installed new toner didnt removed it but I have never seen that being installed in the printer so I removed it and inserted the toner again. Woah it worked in a blink. 

 

This is the orange piece I am referring too. My toner was installed along with that.

Is there any option to select my reply as "Accepted Solution" ? 😄

Hi,

Click or tap your printer name and see if you may get any additional information there.

 

If not, Under Advanced, select Printer Home Page (EWS) or Advanced Settings to open the printer EWS page.

Within the Home page evaluate the printer status while printing from the app, ti should provide you more visual information (such as incorrect paper size setting for the app as an example).
