Hi @Chazjb3,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're encountering a frustrating printer issue! "Check the printer. There is a printer problem" is a vague error message that doesn't provide much guidance on how to solve the problem. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot:
Check for Paper Jams: Open the printer cover and check for any paper jams. Even a small piece of paper can cause issues.
Inspect Ink or Toner Levels: If your printer uses ink or toner cartridges, make sure they're not empty or low. Replace them if necessary.
Restart the Printer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve many printer problems. Turn off the printer, wait for a few minutes, and then turn it back on.
Update Printer Drivers: Ensure that your printer drivers are up-to-date. You can usually download the latest drivers from the HP website.
Check Printer Connection: Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your computer or network. If it's a wireless printer, make sure it's connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
Reset Printer: Many printers have a reset option in their settings menu. Try resetting the printer to its default settings.
Inspect for Hardware Issues: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, there may be a hardware problem with the printer itself.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
