Installed printer yesterday, Have reinstalled software twice.  Printer prints fine from a file.  If I attempt to print from the web it brings up the print dialog box but when I click print it disappears and Chrome shuts down.  The printer icon stays at the bottom of the screen for a moment and disappears.  There is nothing in the queue.

Hi @MBishop1009

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

To better assist you -

1) Have you tried printing from a different browser?

2) Does this happen only with specific websites or with all of them?

While you respond to that, I'd suggest you try these steps - HP Printers - Printing with the HP Print for Chrome App

You may also try re-installing the Chrome browser. Refer to this document for steps.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I am able to print from Edge just fine but still not through Chrome

I haven't tried removing and reloading Chrome.

Thanks for replying. I'd suggest try re-installing the Chrome browser.

If the issue still persists, it could be the browser compatibility issue and as a work around I'd suggest you try an alternate browser.
