Operating System: Microsoft Windows Server 2012

Unable to print to HP m177 from Windows 2012 R2 printserver and citrix.

 

Checked the HP / Citrix compatibility matrix, it is compatible with HP UDP 5.8 but when installing the UDP 5.8 (or later) it says the printer is unsupported.

 

The driver that is available for 2012 server is a basic driver ( HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M177 Series PCLm Driver Only (no Installer) ) - this does not work.

 

Any advice?

Hi,

I afraid this is incorrect and the printer is not supported on Citrix.

 

Citrix printing is supported for PCL 5 or PCL XL printers only, not lower-end laserjets printers which support the PCLmS or Host-Based print languages.

 

As you may find by the printer specifications below, the printer only supports the PCLmS print language

As such printing using Citrix is not supported for the printer.
