Hi,

I use HP Click to drive a Z9+ and although it is a simple and easy to use app that does the job, it seems to have one fundamental error – Custom sizing does not allow one to enter an exact percentage! So, for example, we are unable to scale from A4 to A3 (141%). Instead, Click offers whole increments that are absolutely useless in this case.

I would have thought that would have been fundamental to any printer software especially a production machine such as the Z9.

Any solution is welcome

Thanks

Hello,

The limitation you're experiencing with HP Click regarding precise custom scaling percentages can indeed be a hindrance when working with specific scaling needs, such as scaling from A4 to A3. Unfortunately, HP Click's feature set may not include the ability to specify exact scaling percentages to such precision.

Here are a few potential solutions:

  1. Printer Driver Settings: Sometimes, more detailed scaling options may be available within the printer's driver settings directly from Windows instead of HP Click. Try accessing the printer settings through the Windows control panel or print dialog to see if more specific scaling options are available there.

  2. Alternative Software: If precise scaling is critical for your work, you might consider using alternative software solutions that allow for more granular control over scaling, such as Adobe Acrobat, or graphic design software like Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop, where you can manually set the size and scale the document before printing.

  3. Feedback to HP: If HP Click's limitations are affecting your workflow, consider providing feedback to HP. Let them know about the scaling limitation, as user feedback is valuable for future updates and feature additions.

  4. Manual Calculation and Custom Dimensions: As a workaround, you could manually calculate the target dimensions in millimeters and enter these custom dimensions in HP Click, if available, rather than relying on percentage scaling.
