I bought an HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e second hand and I wasn’t aware I needed a log in to factory reset it. Is there any way I can cold reset it without log in credentials? There is only a power button, touch screen, and usb port.

Hi @Tierra1997,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
To perform a cold reset on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e without login credentials, you will typically need to reset the printer to its factory settings. This is generally done through the touch screen interface. Here’s how you can reset your printer:
Ensure the Printer is On: Make sure your printer is powered on before you begin the reset process.
Access the Setup Menu:
- On the printer's control panel, touch the menu icon or swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch the Setup icon (gear icon).
Restore Factory Defaults:
- Scroll and select Printer Maintenance or Tools.
- Select Restore or Restore Factory Defaults.
Confirm Reset:
- Confirm your choice to restore the factory settings. The printer will reboot and restore its settings to the factory defaults. This process does not require login credentials.
I hope this helps.
