Can't find just a driver for Macintosh macOS Mojave for the CLJ Pro M454dn, on very large enterprise network. The following are turned off: SNMP off, Bonjour off, SLP off, LPD off, LLMNR off. These cannot be turned on, on this network. HOWEVER, Windows has no problems connecting and printing....only Macs.
- Installed the latest HP driver feed 5.1 on the Macs but there is not a driver for the CLJ Pro M454dn within
- Attempted using the Smart installer but it didn't find the printer. I think because the above services are turned off and its not connected via USB.
- Attempted using the Generic PostScript driver - Prints test pages only
- Closest solution (but failed) Installed the driver for the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 476 (printer not fax). This worked when initially setup but one at a time users submitted requests for help because they could not print any more to that printer.
Again, not a single Windows user has had a problem using this printer and it continues to work for them even when Mac users are not able to. This printer is brand new, purchased because the previous was slow to print for Mac users (again weird) but now with a brand new printer they can't print at all.
HELP!

Just an FYI to others.
After escalating a support case I was not provided with any driver. I was told this was due to restrictions in place by Apple (I don't believe that). If you are placing a printer on a home network you'll probably be fine because enabling Bonjour won't be a problem. However, if you're placing the printer on a highly secure network where things like Bonjour are not allowed you are up a creek without a paddle. I suggest purchasing a different brand printer. I'll be making the same recommendation for our university system that they no longer purchase HP products if Apple products will be printing to them.
Good luck!
