Brand new printer makes high pitched noise only when printing.

Are you using original HP Toners? 
This usually happens when you use 3rd party toners and the developer cleaning blade is used up and starts scratching against the OPC. 
Knowing the printer, probably the whine comes from a toner cartrdige. 

Just a electronics enthusiast trying to fix everything.
