We recently got a new printer HP M553 Laser Jet Printer. I use a laptop connected to the company internet and I connected the printer via the work servers. I can print all documents very quickly, email, Word, PDF and PPT files.
My boss has a desktop and she was connected to the printer via the same servers. She is NOT able to print Word or PDF documents quickly at all. A Word document took 3 minutes to print. In viewing her queue the document is kept in "Spooling" mode and won't print for a long time. Why is the printer not printing quickly for her?
What can help correct this?

Hi,
I think the slow printing is caused by spooler issue. May be you can try to follow these procedures to restart the print spooler:
- Turn off the printer using the power button and then unplug the printer power cord from the power outlet.
- Save your work. After using these steps, your current print jobs are lost and will need to be printed again.
- Open Windows Services using one of the following methods:
- Search Windows for services, and click Services in the list of results.
- On your keyboard, press Windows key (
) + R, type services.msc in the window that opens, and then click OK.
- Scroll through the list of services and find the name Print Spooler.
- Right-click Print Spooler and select Stop.
