- Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277DW problem with driver and duplex...

I have had a problem for some time in that my printers automatic duplex facility will not work. I searched online and discovered that I needed to be in Administrator Mode on my PC (my PC has only one User who is the administrator, according to Windows 10) and then on the Device Settings change the duplex dropdown to 'Installed', but when I tried this, the dropdown was greyed out.
I also have a P1102W Laserjet and a Scanjet 300, so I decided to uninstall everything and reinstall the products in the order I bought them using the full current drivers (without the bloatware) available on HP.com. The P1102w and SJ300 seem OK but now I can only print using the PCL driver for the M277DW, which doesn't have the duplex option. The non PCL driver shows offline constantly, I have run windows troubleshooters and the HP 'Print and Scan' tool (only the PCL driver shows up on that, plus the 1102 and SJ300).
I connect wireless and the Printer shows connected and it prints via the PCL driver - but I want the automatic duplex facility I paid for.
Clearly there is some driver corruption here, is there a tool where I can clear all HP software and drivers from my PC and start over a third time, or maybe there is a quicker fix? I am really hoping someone can help me..
Many thanks
Patrick UK

Hi Patrick,
Please try installing the HP Universal Print Driver below:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/COL40842/ds-99374-19/upd-pcl6-x64-6.6.5.23510.exe
While installing select Traditional Mode, then select the same port as used by your M277 printer (if you aren't sure, go to Devices and Printers, right click your existing printer driver and select Printer Properties, note the port selected for your printer within the Ports tab).
Once completing the installation right click the Universal Print Driver and select Printer Properties, select Device Settings and ensure the Mode is set to Color, as well the Duplex Unit is installed and try printing.
Please let me know if that may do the trick,
Shlomi
