Printer is connected to Windows Server 2019 via ethernet cable. It is shared on the server to one particular user who until recently was using a Microsoft Surface Pro tablet via Wifi. It was running Windows 10 and printed as expected.
The Surface was old and has been replaced with a newer version which runs Windows 11. It all works perfectly except for printing to this M254dw printer. The driver (on the server) has been updated to the latest version of the Universal Print driver but still we get the delay from when the user clicks to print (in any Windows application - Office, Adobe etc) to when the print job is sent to the printer. The delay is between 6-8 seconds and it locks up the application (Not responding) during this time.
Is this because the printer isn't compatible with Windows 11 (HP LaserJet, HP OfficeJet, HP PageWide - Printers compatible with Windows 11 | HP® Support)?
Will a driver be released for Windows 11 compatibility?

Hello @Tippers
If you send a test page that comes from the printer itself, does it still run slowly?
Best regards
