@NIKIEDZ, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Resolving B&W Printing Issue on HP Smart Tank 7602 with Mac OS Sequoia 15.5!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP Smart Tank 7602 All-in-One printer is only printing in black and white when attempting to print a color PDF from Mac OS Sequoia 15.5, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue:

Verify Color Printing Settings:

  • Open the PDF file.
  • Go to File > Print in the menu.
  • Check the print dialog settings and ensure that the color output option is selected. Look for a section that allows you to choose between B&W and Color.

Use the HP Smart App:

  • HP recommends using the HP Smart App, which typically provides the best experience and full functionality for printing with HP Smart Tank printers.
  • You can download and install the HP Smart App from the Mac App Store.
  • Once installed, open the HP Smart App, connect your printer, and try printing the PDF again from within the app.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure that your printer’s firmware is up-to-date. You can do this through the HP Smart App or by visiting HP’s support website to manually download the latest firmware.

Check Driver Installation:

  • Although HP does not explicitly list specific drivers for the newest Mac OS versions, the HP Smart App is recommended as it is likely compatible with Mac OS Sequoia 15.5.
  • Make sure your printer is installed correctly and recognized by your system by visiting System Settings > Printers & Scanners and checking the status of your HP Smart Tank 7602.

Reset Printing System:

  • Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
  • Right-click (or Ctrl-click) on the printer list and select Reset printing system.
  • This will remove all printers and reset the configuration. You can then re-add your printer and test printing again.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
