I've just installed my new HP Deskjet 2800e device. My problem is that I can not print in color from the documents. I can only print in color from HP Smart app. But I don't want to use it always. Sometimes I need to print the documents which is not saved.In print page, "Standart Preset" is inactive and the other option is "Black and White". How can I print in color directly from the document without using HP smart app?

@ferRX, I downloaded this one: https://support.hp.com/de-de/drivers/closure/hp-deskjet-2800e-all-in-one-printer-series/model/210137...
But during the installation, it asks admin user's password. Even if the name of the admin user of my laptop is not "admin" , the password window has "admin" in user name field and it can not be changed. I added an admin user named "admin" 🙂 but it doesn't accept the password.

Hi @ferRX ,
I have no problem about installing the driver. It asks the password of non-existed user. Therefore it's impossible to move on. Actually it seems the latest driver released on June 2024. This means I had already installed the latest one. Nevertheless I can not print anything in color from a different device, like my mobile phone.
And I also realized that there's no option to combine the documents by scanning. Yesterday I had to scan 10 documents one by one without the software. It's so weird. I would expect technology to move forward, not backward.
I think I'll return this device back. Complete disappointment.

If the previous steps don´t work then you may try to Reset Printers System in Mac:

I just wanted to write a detailed explanation of the situation and my comment in case there are users who experience the same situation or want information about the product.
By the way, combining the document during scanning issue was my fault. I just found how to do 🙂
