@ZBeard, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.

If your HP Envy 6155e printer is stuck on a screen with cycling colored dots (blue-red-yellow-green) and never progresses to the main menu, this typically indicates a firmware or startup issue. Let’s try the following steps to resolve it:

Power Reset the Printer

  1. With the printer powered on, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  3. Wait for 60 seconds.
  4. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and then into the printer.
  5. Turn the printer back on if it doesn’t power up automatically.

Check if the screen now loads past the colored dots.

Restore Wi-Fi Setup Mode

If the printer is stuck during wireless setup, restoring Wi-Fi setup mode might help:

  1. On the printer (if responsive), press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons together for 5 seconds.
  2. This should reset the network settings and enable Wi-Fi setup mode.

Update Firmware via USB (if screen remains stuck)

If the screen is still unresponsive, you may need to update the firmware manually using a USB connection:

  1. Download the latest firmware for your printer from the Official HP® Support
  2. Follow the instructions to install the firmware using a USB cable and your computer.

I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.

Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
