Printer has never been used.   I am unable to print from windows with the HP driver.  I am unable to log in to the UI or the front panel using the standard PIN.  I've tried the serial #, PIN, blank......nothing works.  I've factory reset it and still nothing works.  This printer is basically a brick at this moment.  I can't even print a config page from the  printer menu/interface on the device itself.

What happens when you try? Do you get any message on the printer screen?

It just says "Printing" then goes away.  No tray or roller movement whatsoever.     I even tried to print via USB direct and jobs just get stuck in the queue.   I loaded the full software and driver.  It detects the printer.  I also tried to update the firmware but it needs the PIN.  I'm an IT Network / Workplace analyst for 30 years and never seen anything like this.

I even just was able to flash the firmware with the latest via USB port in the back, and that was successful, but still unable to log into the GUI  nor could I print anything.  I also downloaded the HP Smart app and it sees the printer, but it says printer is paused.  it seems to be in some state for some reason

now I just noticed if I go through the control panel on the printer, it says printer is initializing and it's stuck in that state
