Make sure you have installed the Full Featured Software and Drivers from the HP web site.  Then...

Scanning issues…

Please try this scan solution:

HP Scan Extended

For Windows:   ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

Check all your settings and expand all tabs and all + signs to see all options.

Make searchable PDFs scans with this free scanning software - https://www.naps2.com/

Hello, Sabretooth, THANKS for your most kind and quick response!  May I know where to obtain the 'Full Featured Software and Drivers from the HP"?  Never having had to acquire separate software for any other printer to get it working, this comes as a surprise. 🙂 Tho' maybe considering tech versatility these days, this should not be so surprising 🙂

Just try the scanning software first...
