Welcome to the HP Community --

The following is relevant to a supported printer model and supported versions of Windows.

Possible reasons for this reaction when submitting a print job might include one or more of...

  • The full driver printer software is not installed.

OR

  • The full driver printer software is installed but is not fully functional (corruption of some kind).

Ask if you need help to (re)install the full driver printer software

AND

Remind us of your printer model and the Windows OS / version.

Other reasons for "I'm a fax" ?

  • The full driver printer software is installed and is functional and the Default Printer is not correct or is under the control of Windows.

  • The full driver is installed, is functional, and the default printer is selected -- the Printer in the job setup is pointed at the "fax driver" instead of the print driver.
