HP OFFICEJET 4500
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This printer worked fine until the computer updated when I turned the computer off yesterday, (Sat, July 8, 2017).  Now I get the message the app does not work with Win 10!!!!  What!!!  Worked fine until the shutdown/update happened.  I have run troubleshoot, tried to uninstall and re-install.  Any suggestions?

Welcome to the HP Forums. I would be happy to help you with your  HP Officejet 4500 Printer. I understand that you are getting app does not work with Win 10 message and you have already done some preliminary troubleshooting.

However, I will need a few details to provide an accurate solution,

Does it mention which app does not work?

Did you do any hardware or software changes?

How is the printer connected to the computer, USB or Wireless?

Meanwhile:

Perform a Hard Reset on the printer.

  • Remove the power cable from the printer when it is turned on.
  • Press and hold the power button for 60secs.
  • Connect the power cable to printer and directly to wall outlet.
  • Turn on the printer.

Reply with the result of the above-mentioned steps, for further assistance.

Cheers.

I've got 4 machines now. Same problem. All Win10 x64 Pro machines, all LaserJet printers (all on HP PCs - 2 are brand new). There's something going on here in the last couple of days - it's got to be an incompatibility with Win10 and HP drivers.

Thanks for the reply.

I appreciate you time and effort.

As I you said your laserjet printer is not working.

Please provide me the printer model numbers, and how they are connected to the computer so that I can provide you the best solution,

Cheers.
