Connect a printer using mobile network

I have been trying to connect to a new HP printer using the mobile network but it doesn’t want to send network information. Do I need a Wi-Fi connection instead of a mobile connection to do this?

I understand you need information using your mobile network to work with your HP Printer. 

To answer your question: Printers may or may not work with mobile hotspots, HP recommends a regular Wi-Fi Router or a portable jetpack.
