@J_L_F, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer connection!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Let’s try a few troubleshooting steps to get you back to printing:

1. Verify Network Connection
• Make sure your printer is turned on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromebook.
• If you recently changed your network settings (like a new password or router), you may need to reconnect your printer.

2. Restart Your Devices
• Power off your printer, unplug it for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
• Restart your Chromebook as well. A fresh start can often clear temporary glitches.

3. Re-add Your Printer on Chrome OS
• Open your Chromebook’s settings, then go to Advanced > Printing > Printers.
• Remove the HP OfficeJet 3860 if it appears in the list, then click on Add Printer to re-establish the connection.

4. Check for Firmware Updates
• Visit the HP Customer Support website to see if there’s a firmware update available for your OfficeJet 3860.
• Installing the latest firmware can resolve connectivity or performance issues.

5. Print a Test Page
• After completing these steps, try printing a test page from your Chromebook to see if the issue is resolved.

If you continue to experience issues, please let us know any error messages or further details, and we’ll be happy to assist you further.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
