HP Neverstop Laser 1001nw

I just changed my internet provider and I need to connect my HP Neverstop Laser 1001nw to the new wireless wi-fi network with the new password. How do I do this?

(The instruction say things like "Use the WSP button" - my new router doesn't have one. Or "restart the printer and follow the software instructions" - what instructions? Very frustrating, and very disappointing)

Thanks

Hi @Max_frustration

Reset wireless settings from the Control Panel buttons on the printer and add printer again in HP Smart.

1.  Turn on printer, and hold press Cancel X button and Wireless button during 5 seconds, and release.

2.  Then open HP Smart and select option to Add Printer again.

* Click YES   to say thank you,

* Click Accepted Solution when question is answered.

Best regards,

ferRX.

FerRX,

Thanks for responding, and apologies for any implied frustration (my handle says it all ha ha).

I know I need to put the printer in "Wifi setup mode" and add the new network SSID and password. The video shows a way to do this with the HP Smart app, but I can't get the app to work like the video. The app finds my printer and then keeps telling me that the printer needs to be turned on (it is) and looping back to look for a printer.

I eventually solved the problem by connecting the printer to my network with a cable, and using the app to make the changes. Why? A combination of guesswork, fumbling, etc. The absence of a clear instructions, and the whacky way the app works is very frustrating.

Again, thanks for your time.
