i wish to connect the printer so that our computers can contact it by wireless network. In the past, I have connected this printer to networks using the WPS button on various routers. Our new router does not have a WPS button. I have tried the connection instructions in the manual:connect printer to computer which is connected to network, but the printer does not connect to the network. I have now tried to connect the printer by cable to the network (printer-usb cable-adapter-+ethernet port on router) but the computer does not see it on the network. I have used this printer for many years without a problem, but without the WPS button, nothing works.

Hi @Robert11320 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're unable to connect your HP LaserJet Pro P1102w printer to your wireless network using the methods described in the manual or via USB cable to your router, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
HP Smart App: Download and install the HP Smart App on your Windows 10 computer. This app can help you set up and manage your printer wirelessly. Follow the on-screen instructions in the app to connect your printer to the wireless network.
Manual Wi-Fi Setup: Even if your router doesn't have a WPS button, you should still be able to manually connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network. Here's how:
- Press the Wireless button on the printer control panel to view the Wireless Status menu.
- Within the Wireless Status menu, select Wireless Settings, and then Wireless Setup Wizard.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to select your network and enter the password.
HP Printer Software: Ensure that you have installed the latest HP printer software on your Windows 10 computer. Sometimes, the printer might not be detected if the necessary drivers are not installed.
Check Router Settings: Make sure that your router settings allow for new devices to connect to the network. Sometimes routers have settings like MAC address filtering that may block new connections.
Reset Printer Network Settings: If all else fails, you can try resetting the printer's network settings and then attempt to reconnect it to the wireless network.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Thank you very much , but unfortunately the reply does not resolve the issue for these reasons:
1. I have already tried the HP Smart install, and it did not work. I have downloaded all the recent software as well. The printer was working perfectly well with our former wireless router a few weeks ago.
2. The 1102w printer model does not have a control panel or screen, so it is impossible to view anything by that method.
3. You suggest resetting the printers network settings--how do you do that?
4. How do you check router settings, and what should the correct settings be
Once again, thank you very much for your time and effort to assist me. I am most appreciative
