I have an HP Envy 6455e All-In-One Printer. My Mac Air currently runs on Tahoe. 26.2 OS. Has HP stopped providing drivers?  I cannot connect the printer to my computer through the WiFi.

Hi @jokr8790,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

To connect your HP Envy 6455e All-In-One Printer to your Mac Air running macOS 26.2 (Tahoe), you can follow the steps below. It is essential to know that HP has not stopped providing drivers; instead, HP has adopted more integrated methods using built-in drivers and AirPrint on macOS.

Steps to Connect the Printer:

Ensure Software Updates:

  • On your Mac, ensure that macOS is up to date. This can be done by clicking the Apple menu > About This Mac > Software Update.

Wi-Fi Network Preparation:

  • Ensure that your printer and Mac are linked to the same Wi-Fi network. This can help in seamless discovery and connection.
  • Move the printer within range of the Wi-Fi router signal for optimal connectivity.

Use AirPrint:

  • Connect the Printer to Wi-Fi:

    • For printers with a touchscreen: Navigate to the Setup or Wireless settings and follow the Wireless Setup Wizard to connect your printer to the network.
    • Without a touchscreen: Press and hold the Wireless button on the printer until the wireless light starts to flash. Then, use your router’s WPS button to make the connection.

Add Printer on Mac:

  • Click the Spotlight icon, search for Printers & Scanners, and open it.
  • If your printer is auto-discovered and listed, you can start using it. If not, click the "+" button to add the printer manually.
  • Select your printer from the list and follow the on-screen instructions. Ensure it's connected via AirPrint for the best experience.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
