Connecter imprimante HP Deskjet F4180 sur MAC OS Big Sur V11.1

Depuis le passage de mon MacBook Air de Catalina à Big Sur V11.1, mon imprimante HP Deskjet F4180 n'est plus reconnue.

Pas de pilote proposé sur le site HP pour la V11.1

La hot line HP (09.69.32.04.35) m'a dit qu'une solution existe, pour cela je devais poser le problème sur ce forum et qu'un technicien allait me donner les explications avec photos pour la façon de faire.

Hello,

I moves from MAC OS Catalina to Big Sur 11.1 and my printer stoped because of the driver. Then I wanted to upload a new one but nothing exist on official HP Support.

I didn't change anything else, the HP Hotline told me that there is a solution, and to get it, I have to post my issue on this forum (!?), a HP technicien will reply to me.

HP Deskjet F4180 driver for macOS 11 is not available from the HP website or Apple Software Update. However, Gutenprint (formerly called Gimp-Print) provides open-source basic print drivers for many printers that would otherwise not be supported in Mac OS X. To see if your printer is supported, go to Gutenprint drivers for more information.

NOTE: Gutenprint drivers are not supported by HP or Apple.

Thanks for this information ... but I think you had a look on the Gutenprint's list.

As me, if I see well,  you saw that my HP Deskjet F4180 is not included.

But if you proposed me to check this list, I suppose that you think about a equivalent printer in the list which would be compatible with F4180.

What do you propose concretely ? What is the solution in my context ? The HP hotline told me that there is a solution, and that a a HP technicien will give me it on the forum ?

I can't imagine that HP want I buy a new printer because I moves to Big Sur !... It would be crazy, my printer worked very well until now !

As I informed you earlier, Gutenprint drivers are not supported by HP or Apple.

And do you think that "HP Deskjet 4100" is the solution for me in Gutenprint list ?

Is there a risk to test it on my computer ?

I have seen people using Gutenprint which provides basic drivers to print from your Mac computer. It seems to be safe as many people use this driver however, as informed earlier HP or Apple doesn't support this driver.
