Hi @JBART90,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

This connection issue usually happens because the printer and the desktop aren't communicating on the same frequency or the necessary HP software drivers are missing from your All-in-One. Establishing a fresh handshake between the devices over your local network is the most reliable way to get them talking again.

  1. Prepare the printer for a new network connection.
    • Touch the Wireless icon on the printer's control panel.
    • Select the Setup (gear) icon, then choose Network Setup.
    • Tap Restore Network Settings and confirm with Yes to clear any old, conflicting configurations.
  2. Link the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
    • Return to the Network Setup menu on the printer screen.
    • Select Wireless Settings, then tap Wireless Setup Wizard.
    • Choose your network name from the list and carefully type in your Wi-Fi password.
  3. Add the printer to your HP All-in-One Desktop.
    • Go to the Start menu on your desktop and type "Printers & scanners" into the search bar.
    • Click Add device and wait for the HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 to appear in the list.
    • Select the printer and click Add device to automatically download the basic print drivers.

You can find the full feature software and setup guide here:

Is the wireless light on the printer panel solid blue or is it still blinking?

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀
