Hi @SikesDad,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I am sorry to hear that you have replaced your router, you'll need to reconnect your HP printer to the new network.

Reset the Printer's Network Settings:

  • On your printer's control panel, navigate to the Network or Wireless settings.
  • Look for an option that allows you to "Restore Network Settings" or similar, and select it to clear old network configurations.

Connect the Printer to the New Network:

  • Access the Wireless Setup Wizard on your printer's control panel.
  • From the Home screen, touch the Wireless icon or go to Network settings.
  • Select "Wireless Setup Wizard".
  • This will search for wireless networks available.
  • Choose your new network from the list of detected networks.
  • Enter the network password (WPA or WEP key) when prompted.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup process.

Use the HP Smart App:

  • If available, the HP Smart app provides a streamlined process to connect your printer to the network:
    • Open the HP Smart app on your mobile device or computer.
    • Tap “Set up a new printer” and follow the instructions if the app detects the printer.

Install Updated Drivers and Software:

  • Ensure you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer to facilitate network communication. Visit HP Support to download any necessary updates.

Check Network Configuration:

  • Verify that your new router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz signal, as many printers do not support the 5GHz band.
  • Confirm that your network settings allow new devices to join.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart your printer, computer, and router. Often, a simple reboot can resolve connectivity issues.

Take care and have an amazing day!
