Hi,
I recently purchased an HP 15s-fq2xxx Series laptop running Windows 11, and I am encountering difficulties connecting and utilizing my HP Photosmart C4680 printer.
Upon connecting the printer using a USB cable, the device is not being recognized, and I am receiving the following error statuses:
1. Windows Settings → Bluetooth and Devices → "Driver not available."
2. HP Smart → Printer status unknown/Offline printer.
Could you please provide guidance on how to troubleshoot and rectify this problem?
Thank you in advance for your prompt attention to this matter.
Best regards,
Michele

Hello micrin,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
There could be a few reasons why your HP laptop is having trouble waking up from sleep mode. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue.
- Check power settings: Make sure that your laptop is not set to go into hibernation or deep sleep mode, which can cause it to take longer to wake up. You can adjust these settings in the Power Options section of the Control Panel.
- Update drivers: Outdated or corrupt drivers can cause problems with your laptop's sleep mode. Try updating your laptop's drivers by visiting the HP website and downloading the latest versions.
- Check for malware: Malware or viruses can cause your laptop to behave unpredictably. Use an antivirus software to scan for and remove any threats.
- Disable fast startup: In some cases, fast startup can interfere with sleep mode. You can disable fast startup by going to Control Panel > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do > Change settings that are currently unavailable > Uncheck the "Turn on fast startup" option.
- Check hardware: If the above steps don't solve the issue, there may be a hardware problem. Check that your laptop's battery is charged and functioning properly, and make sure all connections are secure.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
