I'm beyond frustrated with the HP Envy 6455e. It regularly disconnects from WiFi, gets jammed easily, and shows offline when it shouldn't. Any recommendations for a better printer? If not, how can I get it to work better?

Welcome to the HP English Community --
Printers are one the devices where you get what you pay for.
This is a mid-range printer -- not an economy printer and not a top tier product.
"Better" Printers include those in the OfficeJet Pro Series.
As with other series, there are differences between the less expensive OfficeJet printers and the top tier OfficeJet Pro small office printers.
------------------------------------------------------------
Envy Printer --
Mid-Range just means that the printer supports basic features plus some options that the economy DeskJet Printers lack.
------------------------------------------------------------
What the printer can do...
Read the User manual and peruse the printer's support website -- there is a lot of information available.

The printer does support Dual Band Wireless - that is, Frequency 2.4GHz OR 5GHz
Dual Band just means you can (should where supported by your router) assign the printer to the SSID named network for the frequency you want the printer to use.
Printers generally do much better when assigned a manual / static IP address.
The printer lacks a full service touchscreen printer control panel which does limit what you can adjust / view at the printer.
The printer supports (provides) a color coded edge lighting system to communicate.
Use the Embedded Web Server (EWS) to view, adjust, manage the printer features
Example EWS - IPv4
Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar
Tab Network > Wired (802.3) > IPv4 Configuration
Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar
Tab Network > Wireless (802.11) > IPv4 Configuration
As Available:
Tab Network > Wireless (802.11) > Advanced
Network Interface on / off, Network SSID name, Security Settings, Passphrase / Password
Select and connect to the correct SSID / network name for the bandwidth you are using.
Note: It is not mandatory that you use a manual / static IP address. Doing so can improve stability.

Example - Troubleshooting Jams / Tray and Paper
Prevent / Reduce Jam errors by keeping the printer apprised of the paper size and type that is loaded in the printer - Tray and Paper Management
Find Troubleshooting documents and videos for "Jams" here:
Troubleshooting > Topic Printing > Sub-Topic Jams
EWS – Tray and Paper Management
Original EWS
Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar
Tab Settings > Preferences > Tray and Paper (Management)
Select / Adjust settings for Paper Size / Type
Model and EWS version Dependent: Advanced section
Click Apply to save changes

You are proving my point. How many pages of instructions would I have to read and how many fixes will I have to try in order to get the stupid printer to work. It isn't working again today. I can see how doing a hard reset might help, but even that isn't working at the moment. And the point is that I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DO OR TRY ALL THIS STUFF in order to get this printer to work for me. At this point, I want my money back and I'll go and buy a printer that I can actually use without all this stupid hassle.
