@Bpruin

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,  I understand that it is asking for custom password while setup.

Let's restore default wireless settings on the printer.

  1. On the printer control panel, make sure the wireless light is blinking and the power button light is bright. If the light is not bright, press the power button to wake the printer from sleep mode.

  2. If the wireless light is not blinking, press and hold the Wireless button  and the Cancel button  at the same time for 3 seconds.

    The wireless light blinks. Repeat these steps if the wireless light does not blink.

  3. Immediately continue to the next step to install the software. You have approximately 120 minutes to complete the software setup using the HP auto wireless connect feature.

Install the software and print driver.

  1. Go to 123.hp.com/dj3700, and then click Download.
  2. After the software downloads, open HP Easy Start.

  3. Click Set Up My Printer.

  4. On the Terms and Conditions screen, click Accept.

  5. On the Prepare screen, click Continue.
