I've this printer and It doesn't work on my computer.  I've found many similar questions where an answer with a download link was given, but it's currently unavailable. Could anyone help with this???

Thank you in advance!

Hi @SVespucci

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Here are the steps you can follow to get your HP Deskjet F4180 working on a Windows computer:

Step 1: Check Windows Updates

  • Connect the printer to your computer via USB.
  • Open SettingsUpdate & SecurityWindows Update.
  • Select Check for updates.
Windows often installs the required drivers automatically.

Step 2: Install Full Feature Software

  • Go to the official HP support page for the Deskjet F4180.
  • Select your Windows version (Windows 10 or Windows 11).
  • Download and install the Full Feature Software and Driver package.
This includes the print, scan, and copy functionality.

Step 3: Use the HP App

  • Install the HP App from the Microsoft Store.
  • Open the app and add your printer.
  • This allows you to manage printing and scanning tasks directly.

Step 4: Add Printer Manually (if needed)

  • Open Control PanelDevices and PrintersAdd a printer.
  • Select Add a local printer.
  • Choose the USB port your printer is connected to.
  • If the Deskjet F4180 driver does not appear, select Windows Update in the driver list window.
  • Wait for the list to refresh and then select the Deskjet F4180.

Step 5: Use Built-in Driver (if software is unavailable)

  • If the full feature package is not available for your version of Windows, rely on the built-in driver.
  • Connect the printer via USB, and Windows should automatically install a basic driver.
  • This driver supports printing and scanning, though advanced features may be limited.

If you follow these steps, your Deskjet F4180 should be operational.
