Deficient tricolor printhead when setting up Smart Tank 7301

When setting up a brand new Smart Tank 7301, the tricolor printhead will not install correctly, indicated by the two printhead icons and "!" flashing.  Following the directions, I tried installing the black printhead alone, and the icon for that printhead disappears, but the tricolor icon (of course) still flashes, because it hasn't yet been installed.  So once I install the tricolor printhead, BOTH printhead icons and the "!" flash.  I tried re-installing this tricolor printhead over a dozen times, and also disconnecting and reconnecting the printer's power, but nothing makes the flashing printhead icons go away.  The online installation instructions say to "Contact support" if "this condition persists".

Return the printer, it's new. Ask the seller for a printer replacement.
