I have forgotten my admin password for my HP LaserJet Pro MFP M28w. If I understood correctly, I need to completely reset the printer to give it a new admin password. I need instructions to completely reset the printer HP LaserJet Pro MFP M28w

You will have to contact an agent to change the admin password.

How to contact an HP agent:
Sign in to your support page
Select the product you need help with and scroll down to support options.
Select "Contact us". You can change country and language if necessary.

 

Wi-Fi reset instructions and videos (if any) are shown below. Generally you have 2 hours to connect your printer after performing the Wi-Fi reset. Note that a reset video may show a slightly different model than yours.

 

Microsoft's Copilot may have more recent videos.
Watch this video to see how to reset your printer: 28 29 30 31.
The steps below are Wi-Fi only and do not perform a factory reset.
Microsoft's Copilot may provide alternate solutions.

  1. Press the cancel button until the attention and power LED blink (about 20 seconds).
