How can I delete an obsolete printer from the HP Smart App? I see no options to remove a printer, only add. I have delete the old HP printer drivers already, and the printer object in devices and printers.

Hi,

Open HP Smart and then click the Printer icon in the left bar.

Click on select a Different Printer, then click the Remove link on the right

Press the X mark of the unwanted printer tile to remove it and click on done.

Hello,

I must be blind because I am not seeing a link for "remove" on the HP Smart App when I click "Select a Different Printer". I've included a screenshot of what I see after clicking to select a printer and letting it finish loading. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

You have to click on "Recent" first, then you will see the "Remove" option on the right side, when you click it, and "X" will appear next to the printers installed, click on it, then at the same place where remove was at it will show "Done", click and that's it. Hope that helps...

I delete the obsolete priter from the "recent printers" page and it disappears. However, it still shows up on the available printers list on the home page. And when I restart the app, it is back on the 'recent printers" page.

I had the same problem, but after I clicked "remove" and then "done", I clicked on the new/current printer that you are using.  It will run you through a basic set-up process again, but the old printer doesn't show up anymore.  At least not so far...

I also logged into my hp.com account and removed the old printer from my registered printers.  Hopefully this will work for you too.  Good luck!

If you experience further issues, search for HP Smart, right-click it and select Uninstall.

Be sure to confirm any prompt.

Now reinstall HP Smart from the Microsoft store and add your existing printer, any printer no longer listed should no longer be shown.

Hi,

On the search bar type HP Smart, right-click it and select App Settings.

Click the Reset button and confirm any prompt, then launch the HP Smart app and reconfigure any existing printer, the app will launch with no printers configured.

I had the problem with my iPhone. Had a printer I removed but it would not disappear. I had to delete the hpsmart.jpgapp and reinstall. Worked.
