I've set up a fresh 'scan to email' configuration and now have two sender profiles showing on the printer display. How do I delete the old profile so it no longer shows on the printer display? I've tried changing the "Scan to Email Setup" through the HP Embedded Web Server and found the "Outgoing Email Profiles" but I only see the new profile not the old one.

How can I clean up the old unwanted profile?

Hi,

For my experience, I still feel the same, that you have the Wild Orange Media profile configured in the form right above the shown Outgoing Email Profile title.

You may also access the Setup menu on the printer screen and select Printer Maintenance, then select Restore and select Restore Factory Defaults.

Once the printer restarts reconnect it from the network, that should remove ANY existing email profile so only the require profile can be reconfigured.

Hi,

You should see both profiles there in the Embedded Web Server.

the information filled within that same page (within the Scan to Email Setup page, right above the bottom profiles list) is a profile configuration as well.

Thanks ShlomiL. Yes, I would have expected to see both profiles there in the Embedded Web Server, but I don't. I see only the newly created profile. The old profile is missing is EWS, yet still shows up on the printer screen. They are, somehow, out of sync. What should I do?

Hi,

Don't you see the other profile configured above? as seen on below picture as an example?

That configuration screen should appear right above the bottom Scan to Email profiles table

Hi again - I can see the Outgoing Email Settings in the Embedded Web Server (EWS) screen, like your screenshot.

However, my issue is with the sender profiles. On my printer screen I see this:IMG_20190104_172633.jpg

The active (new) Sender Profile is called "Office [use this one]", so named to remind users that it's the one to use!

If a user inadvertently selects the top (redundant) profile called "Wild Orange Media" they get this error:

IMG_20190104_190531.jpg

That's why I'd like to delete this redundant profile. However, in EWS I now only see the new profile, not the old one:

My guess is that someone has deleted the profile in EWS but that the printer has failed to register this change and so continues to show it.

It's little more than an annoyance, but I'd love to get rid of that old profile as it confuses the users of the printer. How do I delete it when EWS doesn't know it's there?!

Thanks for any further advice you can share.

I think I'll try a printer reset to remove the unwanted sender profile. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks again for your help.
