HP DeskJet 2131 All-in-One Printer
macOS 12.0 Monterey

Jobs dont print or appear in queue and dont print. HOWEVER a random scan worked like 15minutes after I sent it to scan (it also didnt appear in the queue.

My system is updated to Monterey 12.2.1 not option visible for Catalina ...

Im using a MacBook Air 2021 model,  connected to DeskJet 2131 via usb,  just installed the Hp print and scan drivers and HP Easy Start.

I've tried sending from Google Docs and Microsoft word but neither do anything. 

i cannot send to print via bluetooth as the printer is not a wireless one. 

I have just installed new black and tri-colour cartridges today. 

I have restarted both laptop and printer. 

Printer does print from my ancient windows laptop which takes 10mins just to boot up.

I am at a loss. Really dont want to have to use two laptops just to print a document. 

Please help....

Try to install the HP Smart app and check if you are able to print.

Refer to this HP document for the steps to set up and print using HP smart app:- Click here
