DeskJet 2710
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm in the process of setting up a DeskJet 2710 printer, but can't get past the 'use SETUP cartridges' message because the printer doesn't seem to recognise them. Not sure how to fix this problem, so any advice would be appreciated.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

We would have to perform an OOBE reset on the printer to bypass the error

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.

I've tried to reset my deskjet 2710 after a couple of weeks of non-use and I'm being told to install the setup cartridge.  I have both original setup cartridges for colour and black loaded in the printer and still getting the same problem - despite thaking them out and putting them back in several times.  They are the same cartridges I've had since I bought the printer a year ago.  I've reset the printer a few times and tried all power off options but with no luck.  I've seen similar posts on the forum where HP have privately messaged a bypass process so that they can get their printers set up.  Can you assist please?  Many thanks.
