Hey all, i have some serious trouble with an Deskjet1000 j110 Series which i got gifted from my Sister.
I installed the Driver from the HP-Page, and everything worked, Windows shows the Printer as standart printer, but when i want to print something the program tells me that i have to pick a printer first. It shows me the DJ1000, but i can't choose it, no matter if i use word or, editor or anything else.
When i go into printers and scanners, right-click the printer settings i get a notification that no dirver is installed and if i want to install it. After installing it this way, the problem stays the same.
Print Doctor says everything is fine, and through the HP-Tool i can even print a testpage without problems, and since the printer works when i plug into my sisters pc, i'm sure it's not a hardwareproblem.
Anyone any ideas what could cause such problems?
Thanks in advance.

@Molchi, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
I understand you are not able to print from your computer. Let us try these steps:
Perform a clean reinstallation of pre-installed HP drivers
- In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
- Select your HP Printer
- Select Uninstall
- In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
- In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
- Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
- Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
- Click on the “Drivers” tab
- Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
- Select Ok
- Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
- Close Devices and Printers, restart the computer.
Click here to download the HP Full-feature driver.
Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and follow the on-screen instructions.
Try printing.
Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.
