Deskjet 2130 scanning

Hello

I am trying to help my sister with her HP Deskjet 2130 (remotely).

She recently had her laptop changed and is no longer able to scan from the printer with her new laptop.  Printing function is still working fine, so we know that the laptop is able to connect to the printer. 

Printer is connected to laptop using USB cable.

We have installed the HP Smart software, and created an HP account, as it seems you can't proceed without an account.

However, HP smart is not able to detect the Deskjet 2130.

I thought to try setting up the wireless settings on the printer but couldn't see a display panel to configure the settings.

So, questions:

Are there wireless and non wireless versions of the Deskjet 2130?

Why is HP Smart not able to detect the printer?

There maybe more questions, but i'll wait for answers to the above questions first.

You may need to install a Full software driver for your printer.

1. Please install the next software:

2. Restart your computer.

3. Then search for HP Scan software and scan your documents.

• No, Deskjet 2130 printer only works with USB cable.
