Hi all,
I have a problem with my Deskjet 3270 printer. During the last days I received emails from the HP Instant Ink team that I should update my printer to a newer firmware version and now the printer can not connect to the HP webservices anymore and I guess that the Instant ink cartridges will soon also stop working (I received an email that the connection to my printer is broken).
So you may ask: Why does this guy not update the firmware of the printer??
I tried to update the firmware via all described ways and non of it seems to work.
The printer is at the moment at Firmware Version LYP1FN1750BR (2017-12-13) which is really old. But when I start the downloaded update program (DJ3700_2218A.exe) it shows my printer and the status "Not applicable" (in german: Nicht anwendbar). I could not select the printer.
So it seems that this firmware simply doesn't fit to my printer. But there is no other version available on the HP side.
I also tried to update via the printer webserver but it tells me that "No update is available".
Does anybody know how to update this printer or is it electronic garbage?
Thanks already in advance.
Kind Regards Daniel

Hi Daniel, I have the exact same issue. Have been around multiple loops to try and resolve. A response from HP would be useful or is it a case of disposing of the HP printer and buying an alternative (very wasteful) non HP printer given this experience.
HP please can you assist?

Hey JP,
I talked to the HP support on the phone, we tried some basic stuff (factory reset etc.). As expected we didn't find any solution.
In the end I bought a new one. What a waste of resources.
Good luck
Daniel
