If you press the copy button 1, it will make 1 copy, if you press it 2x, it will make 2 copies....

The small printer screen always shows 0

Valsimort,

Pressing the copy button is totally logical. But the number count remains stuck at zero, no matter how often I press.

I think there is something wrong with whatever built-in computer operates the commands. Another strange result is that when I attempt to print from my laptop using a USB connection, nothing comes out. I get from the diagnostics that the printer is off-line. But none of my efforts to restore it to online are successful. Then sometimes, days later, I turn the printer on again and for whatever requested prints were on cue, they all print out. Nor am I able to inspect the print queue to make the prints occur, nor to cancel the queue and start over.

Do I have a chronically defective printer on my hands?
