Hey
i have had a Deskjet F4580 printer for years and was initially connecting wirelessly to a PC. I switched to a MacBook Air last year and it was fine, i could still print wirelessly. I recently switched my EE broadband to EE Fibre Broadband Plus Smart Hub and it wont find my printer. Ive tried deleting the printer from the list of printers i have stored when looking on my laptop and re-adding it, but it will only find it if i use a cable to connect the printer to the laptop (which is not convenient on a permenant basis because of where it lives) but even then that wont always work. The wireless light on the printer remains flashing blue. I printed out a wifi report from the printer and it still lists the old EE router as the network its connected to. Does anyone know how i make the printer and router find each other?
thanks Jess

Thank you for joining the HP Support Community
Note: Check the router band: Many routers can operate in both 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz frequency bands, but not all HP printers support both bands. Make sure the 2.4 GHz router band is enabled and broadcasting. If the router broadcasts separate network names (SSIDs) for each band, connect the printer to the 2.4 GHz band SSID.
Bonjour support: HP recommends routers that support Bonjour, Apple's network discovery software. Connecting with Bonjour is the best way to find the printer and support wireless printing.
Once the printer connected to the 2.4 GHz, use the below steps that could resolve the issue.
1.) Use the steps available here to update the software on Mac.
2.) Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.
3.) Check if your printer name displays in the Printers list, If your printer is listed, click the printer name, click the minus sign to delete the printer.
4.) If you see multiple printer queues for the same printer, remove all extra printers by selecting them one at a time, and then clicking the minus button at the bottom of the list.
5.) Click the plus sign , click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name.
6.) Click the Use or Print Using menu, select the name of your printer in the pop-up menu. Then click Add.
7.) Try to print.
Let me know how it goes!
