Acer Aspire Laptop error message for Deskjet Plus 4100 series [OB1818]: "driver is unavailable". My Dell PC on the same network prints fine. I've also seen a message "printer driver is unsigned." Is a signed driver available for installation?

Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand that you are getting driver error, I am glad to assist you.
You will have to uninstall and reinstall the driver to fix the issue.
Perform root level uninstallation to remove all the printer related software's.
- In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
- Select your HP printer.
- Select Uninstall.

- In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
- Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
- Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
- Click on Drivers tab.
- Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.

I am having this problem, i have followed the above steps but no matter what... my win 10 says under printers and scanner - drivers unavailable. When starting up smart app, it wont let me print and searches for drivers but there was a problem and just goes back to trying to add a printer through win 10 rinse and repeat the steps, to which nothing resolves the issue.
I t just seems i cannot get drivers to install for 4100 deskjet on this laptop.. im close to just buying a new printer, ive spent 3 days trying to fix this.
