Deskjet f4480
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Windows automatically recognizes my printer but doesn't complete the setup process, saying "driver unavailable."

I've tried using HP Print and scan doctor, which is unable to resolve the issue.

I can print to the device from Microsoft Word, but cannot use the scan function.

I had the same problem on an older DeskJet I used to have.

Scanning software for older scanners. This is a 3rd party solution and requires a license after the trial period

This company reverse engineered those old xp drivers for use in the latest windows..
