Did HP turn off ePrint on older printers (where ePrint used to work)?

I have two M1536dnf MFP printers - ePrint used to work but apparently a firmware "upgrade" downgraded so that I can't turn ePrint (back) on

I have a M275 printer - ePrint used to work but apparently a firmware "upgrade" downgraded so that I can't turn ePrint (back) on

I have an M127 printer - ePrint used to work but apparently a firmware "upgrade" downgraded so that I can't turn ePrint (back) on

I want ePrint to work like it used to work.    What is the solution?

(Don't say ePrint doesn't work - because it used to work on each of those printers.)

Welcome to the HP Community --

I shall try to avoid saying ePrint does not work --

I remember seeing a Community post by an HP agent that named ePrint as being in "sunset".

No, I don't know what that means -- it appears to say that back in July 2025, the HP agent believed ePrint to be nearing "end of life".

You must draw your own conclusions, I guess.

Checking the Firmware on  HP LaserJet Pro M1536dnf Multifunction Printer

Driver Support for the printer only goes to Windows 10

From that list  HP LaserJet Firmware Update Utility

The firmware is dated 2014 - Downgrade?  Unknown.

Regardless, ePrint is old technology --

ePrint has been replaced in newer printers with Cloud based solutions, and optional or built-in premium print and scan features.

ePrint was, for years, "use as available" -- there was never a team of ePrint supporters standing by to watch and care for ePrint.  The tasks were automated -- security programs watched for illegal activities or network problems that would interfere with the service.

For the sake of being polite, I will not tell you "ePrint does not work".

Based on the evidence, I believe that it is likely that ePrint has been -- or will very shortly be -- discontinued as a service,.
