Difference between HP Envy Pro 6458e and HP OfficeJet Pro 8028e

What is the difference between HP Envy Pro 6458e and HP OfficeJet Pro 8028e?

Costco has both for sale.  The OfficeJet is higher in price.  I’m curious to know what extra feature I will be getting with an OfficeJet instead of an Envy Pro.

This is something you will need to check and compare for yourself.

HP does not sell the "Costco" model name of either of these printers.

HP does sell the same model types, possibly with "value added extras".

Yes, OfficeJet Pro printers do cost more than do the line of Envy printers.

One big difference when just standing in front of the printer -- OfficeJet Pro 8025e (and the 8028e) include a text-input-capable Printer Control Panel.  The Envy 6455 (and other models in this same series) depend on lights and buttons.  Depending on what you are used to using, this can be a significant distinction.  Read the user manual for more information on what this looks like and how it works...

Both printers - when connected to a network - support "talking to the printer" using the Embedded Web Server (EWS).

EWS – Browser – Tray and Paper Management

Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Settings > Preferences > Tray and Paper Management

Select / Adjust settings for Paper Size / Type

Model Dependent:  Advanced section

Click Apply to save changes
