Hi,

I could not find a good explanation what exactly the differences are between "normal" printers and their "managed" counterparts... what are there limitations (if any) when using a managed model?

Do I need to buy into some kind of subscription?

Any input welcome!

Managed products are supposed to be sold by select Premier Partners. They have the ability to take larger volume ink cartridges and usually have a 3 year performance warranty on the printhead assembly.  Some dealers will sell them with a cost per copy contract or an SMP (supplies metering program) which offers attractive pricing on OEM ink supplies.
