Hi,

I've the above printer when prints out the Printer Status Report, the information for Model Name is stated as,

Model Name: HP Officejet Pro 8500 A909g.

Why the discrepancy?

How to go about changing it to the correct number?

hi,

A such would likely occur due to a hardware failure, this is not something repairable unless sending the printer to a repair center, and would not likely be much afforable to repair, a such will likely require to replace the main printer board which can be quite costy.

So, the main board is the culprit.

Thanks
