Is there a way to submit a feature request to disable the light while the printer is in sleep mode? Most people would like to have their printer turned on but in sleep mode for ease of quick printing. But normally sleep mode would imply limiting as much power resources as possible to include a light which only has the purpose of letting me know it's connected to the network. A magic packet should allow for waking from sleep and restoring all lighting and normal functions.

Thanks for raising this thoughtful suggestion. You're right, sleep mode should ideally minimise power usage, including disabling non-essential lights like the network indicator. While this feature isn’t currently available on the HP Smart Tank 7602, this helps HP product teams prioritize enhancements based on real-world feedback.

Current Workaround

You can reduce sleep mode power usage via the Embedded Web Server (EWS):
- Open HP Smart app > Printer Settings > Advanced Settings
- Go to Power Management > Energy Saver Mode
- Set sleep mode to activate sooner and reduce brightness (if available)
If the light is too distracting, some users have resorted to placing a small piece of black tape over the LED.

I too would like the light bar turned completely off when the printer is in sleep mode. Formally requesting a feature enhancement like original poster.
