Have follow all troubleshooting, have uninstalled the printer, removed all software reinstalled everything, windows repair in case windows then uninstalled everything again the re-installed.
Still no joy have downloaded the drivers individually and used the smart app, but just keeps showing driver no available.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Hi @Phil010967
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
It sounds like you've tried nearly everything, but your HP Smart Tank 7305 still won’t print from your desktop due to the 0.0000ffff error and missing drivers. Since it works fine on your phone and laptop, the issue is likely Windows-specific.
Here are some additional steps to try:
1. Perform a Root-Level Uninstallation
- Open Control Panel > Programs and Features.
- Find HP Smart and any other HP-related software.
- Uninstall everything related to HP.
- Open Devices and Printers, right-click your printer, and select Remove Device.
- Open Run (Win + R), type:printui.exe /s Press Enter, go to the Drivers tab, and remove any HP printer drivers.
- Restart your PC.
2. Install HP Smart & Drivers Again
- Download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store.
- Install HP Smart and follow the setup instructions.
- If the printer still isn’t detected, manually install the drivers from HP’s support page.
3. Check Windows Print Services
- Open Run (Win + R), type:services.msc Press Enter.
- Find Print Spooler, right-click, and select Restart.
- Ensure RPC Endpoint Mapper and DCOM Server Process Launcher are running.
4. Try a Different USB Port or Network Connection
- If using USB, try a different port.
- If using Wi-Fi, reset the printer’s network settings and reconnect.
Let me know what happens at each step, and I’ll guide you further if needed!
Hope this helps, Phil. Cheers!

Hi Hawks_Eye,
Followed every step, but unfortunately no joy, still not connected to the desktop.
Have confirmed prints from both laptop and phone but keep getting message "driver unavailable".
On HP Smart shows green tick until you try to print then no driver, try to install and error comes back. Have downloaded and installed all the printer drivers, after completely uninstalling them.
The desk top diagnostic comes back no errors. HP diagnose and fix comes back no drivers unable to fix, but drivers are in the apps list but when I check print server properties no driver listed. When i use the wizard to install HP Smart Tank 7300 series PCL-(V4), type 4 - user mode x64 driver.
The system cannot find the file specified.
Any suggestions as the last thing i wan to do is a full windows reboot.
Kind regards and many thanks,
Phil

It sounds like you've gone through a thorough troubleshooting process already, but the "Driver Unavailable" issue persists on your HP Smart Tank 7300 series. Since you've confirmed printing works from other devices, the problem seems isolated to your desktop setup. Let's try a few advanced steps:
1. Perform a Clean Driver Installation
Since HP Diagnose and Fix reports no drivers, but they appear in the apps list, there may be a corrupt installation. Try this:
Uninstall all HP printer software:
- Open Control Panel → Programs and Features.
- Remove HP Smart, HP Printer Drivers, and any HP-related software.
- Restart your PC.
Remove Printer from Devices & Printers:
- Open Control Panel → Devices and Printers.
- Right-click your printer → Remove Device.
Clear Print Server Properties:
- Press Win + R, type printui.exe /s, and hit Enter.
- Go to the Drivers tab → Find HP drivers → Click Remove.
- Restart your PC.
Reinstall the Latest Drivers:
- Download the latest drivers from HP’s official site.
- Install them and restart before adding the printer.
2. Manually Install the PCL-(V4) Driver
If the wizard fails with "System cannot find the file specified," try:
- Download the driver separately from HP’s support page.
- Install it manually via Device Manager:
- Open Device Manager (Win + X → Device Manager).
- Expand Printers → Right-click your HP printer → Update Driver.
- Select Browse my computer for drivers → Choose the downloaded driver.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, a Windows reboot might be the last resort, but let's exhaust all options first. Let me know what happens!
Thanks,
Hawks_Eye
